FORMAT FOR THE METROPOLITAN ZONE 1 PREMIERSHIP.

THERE ARE 18 CLUBS IN OUR ZONE,
ALL OF WHICH ARE COMPETING FOR OUR YEARLY ZONE PREMIERSHIP.
THERE IS ALSO A RESERVE GRADE PREMIERSHIP WHICH HAS A
LIMITED NUMBER OF CLUBS COMPETING.

To work out the Premiership each year:-
We use the results from the Zone Events:- Dressage, Combined Training, Jumping Equitation, Showjumping, O.D.E., Bobby Bayard Gymkhana, JF McGill Formal Day, Campdraft.
Only 25 years & under riders points are counted (No seniors).
The first 4 placegetters in each competition at each of these events are awarded points -
6 for 1st, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd & 1 for 4th.
Then each club's points are totalled.
These are placed 1st to 10th.
10 points for 1st, 9 for 2nd, etc, down to 1 for 10th.
Each club attending gets attendance points.
1 to 4 riders competing gets 1 attendance point. 5 or more riders competing gets 2 attendance points.
So you can see that the winning club usually wins 10+2=12 points at that particular event.
The event points for each club are totalled at the end of the year.
The winning clubs in both grades get a perpetual trophy.
1st, 2nd & 3rd get a banner + a cheque and 4th gets a banner.

For the Reserve Grade when the clubs are totalled at each event, the above 5 clubs are excluded.
You place the remaining clubs & work out the Reserve Grade results.
